A teacher who'd rather go slow than sound smart.
I'm Ty, and The Word Walk is a verse-by-verse Christian podcast built on one conviction: God's Word should be handled carefully, taught clearly, and understood by ordinary people.
That's what each episode is. I take a passage in its context, pay attention to what it meant in its original setting, and then work through what it means for us now. That means no ripped-out-of-context verses, no shallow hot takes dressed up as Bible teaching, and no treating Scripture like it only opens up to scholars and specialists.
Most of the podcast is built around walking through books of the Bible over time, because sustained exposition teaches you how to read the Bible better for yourself. Along the way, I also cover biblical theology, Christian living, and questions that matter for real life and real faith.
The goal is simple: to help you know the Word of God more clearly, see Christ more fully in the text, and grow in how you read, understand, and live out Scripture.
Three things I do, every episode.
Book by book, not topic by topic
Most of the teaching here walks through a single book of the Bible over many weeks. I'd rather move slowly through one letter than jump between verses.
Context before conclusions
Before asking what a passage means for us now, I ask what it meant to the people who first heard it. That's slower, but it's the only honest way to read.
Built to change how you live
The point of studying Scripture isn't to collect information. It's to know God and let what he's said reshape actual weeks, actual decisions, and actual doubts.
